Day 05 → Your favorite quote
" You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." - John Lennon (Imagine)
Okay, so this one is kind of cliché as far as favorite quotes go, but I love it. I don't follow it in a naïve, kind of Disney-dreaming sense, more like in the sense that I do have goals for myself.
Day 06 → Whatever tickles your fancy
Lol, I could NOT decide what to put. So here's a puppy trying to attack itself in the mirror. (Even though I feel so bad when it crashes into it :( )
Day 07 → A photo that makes you happy
( Slightly big pic. )

Day 02 → Your favorite movie
I'm going to have to go with Almost Famous. I saw this movie when I was about fourteen years old, in my freshman year of high school. So, obviously, I first connected with the adolescence of Patrick Fugit's character. But more than that, it was about music-- especially Classic Rock, which at that point in my life I was about to get very heavily into. And it was about writing, something I did way more of during my high school career than I did actual homework. This movie shaped me, so it will always be very, very dear to me.
Not only do I connect with it, it's Cameron Crowe at his best. The writing makes the story funny, and endearing, and painful... I LOVE the cast, especially Frances McDormand. And of course, it has an amazing soundtrack.
Damn, now I want to watch it.

Thirty Days of Sharing
Day 01 → Your favourite song
Of all time? Keep on Rocking in the Free World, by Neil Young
In short... First of all, this song came out in 1989, and since I was born in '87, it's one of the songs I heard a lot when I was really little. Today, Neil Young is one of my favorite artists. I love this song both musically and lyrically, depressing as it may be. It also has one of my favorite riffs ever.
... Also, I wonder why I have no musician icons... I think I like too many to have them be represented fairly :/

Ugh... I am so deflated from last night's game.
I was pretty much a zombie after it was over, and I still feel really blah over it today. I mean, being down by six runs was bad, but I almost tying it up is almost worse. And yeah, you can say it's good they showed fight, but... Aaaaaaah. Plus, it wasn't kinda disheartening to see Jeter and Tex screw up that late in the game, but they can still pull it together for Wednesday...
And okay, if they DO do it now, it'll be at home in the Bronx, and it would christen the new Stadium, and that would be great... I just want it so badly for them (okay, and for us fans.) ... And yeah, I'd really like them to do it behind Andy(?), and against Pedro >:(
It's not like I'm taking Philly lightly, that's ridiculous. I knew they were going to be tough and yeah, 20/20 hindsight says they're not the kind of team you beat in five games (if at all?) Some of their guys have been stellar. Namely Lee and Utley, as a baseball fan, I have to give it up for them. They're both playing World Series baseball.
I was so amped for last night's game, and look, you can't predict anything... But it was such a heartbreaker. I'm sure I'll be excited again tomorrow night, but I'm still a little dazed.
Let's go Yankees

Real quick, before the game...
Last October, I was doing my applications to transfer to universities, including ones in Ontario. This year, I spent Halloween in Toronto. Crazy XD.
Anyway, I hope you guys had good Halloweens!
bhavna_grint and I went with a bunch of people on a tour of haunted buildings in downtown Toronto, and then went to
honeybee718's house.
I wasn't sure what I was doing for a while, so my costume was kinda last-minute. Actually, I didn't even decide until the night before, lol. I was going to wear things I'd brought from home, and the options were a punk, an '80's chick, and Eli Manning.
( The '80s girl won. )

So many choices... (And I'd rather he take ME out...) But I think I'm gonna have to go with San Merlotte from True Blood. *happy sigh* I think he is so sweet and adorable. And I just want to give him the love he needs, darn it!! XD .. Oh, and he's pretty easy on the eyes. The hair, the scruff, the arms. (The jeans...)

YANKEES. WORLD SERIES.
HELL YEAH.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! I'm so excited!! ( I jumped around my dorm room by myself like an idiot.) This game was SO tense. This SERIES was crazy. But I am SO proud :')
And did I mention I love this team? 'Cause I DO (EST 8/1/87.) No matter what goes down, I fucking love THESE Yankees. All of them. Everyone compares them to the '96 team, and it's SO true, and that is a deserved compliment. I would love to see them do what they did in '96 (my first :'D.)
... The only slight downside was watching it by myself (I holed up doing homework all weekend XD.) ... Oh, and the fact that we have to play Philly now, eep. But I believe in these boys, and like I said in my entry after the DS, anything can happen. So, once more:

... Okay, I meant to make a post about the series BEFORE it started, but doing it got lost in the shuffle. It probably would have been something like:
Dear Yankees. You can do this. Don't fuck up. Love, Amy
The Yankees swept the Twins tonight in their ALDS series, and now advance to play Anaheim in the ALCS. I watched Game One on mlb.tv's post-season package, Game 2 at Jack Astor's after Inglourious Basterds, and Game 3 tonight downtown (at Fox and Fiddle.)
Have I mentioned I love my team? Because I do. There's not a single guy on the team that I dislike, unlike other years when we had to deal with Sheffield and Johnson. There's not a guy who doesn't come to play. And there's not a guy who hasn't been worth it, whenever we've signed or drafted them. This series was full of long-time Yankees like Jeter and Jorge delivering, and our new guys like Teixeira and CC, and I just love this TEAM. And from what I can tell, they like each other, which I think stands for something.
I'm not afraid of Anaheim. Maybe I should be, but that's not how I feel. I feel like the Yankees are capable of anything. Are they capable of falling apart next series? Yes. Are they capable of having the kind of series they did against Minnesota? Yes.
I can't believe I have to wait a week to find out. I love you, boys.
... Actually, I love all my teams. And they all won today!! Yankees 4-1, Rangers 3-0, and Giants 44-7.
As far as the Giants go, all I have to say is: Plaxico who? Seriously, the guys who needed to so stepped up in his absence.
And speaking of other slightly-shook-up teams, I am also totally loving this year's Rangers. The new guys we have have me really excited, especially the younger ones like Gilroy and Del Zotto. And Gaborik... He's an exciting player... It's infectious.
Go teams. Haha this was just supposed to be about the Yankees. Oh well.

The Rangers season started tonight!! I ordered my NHL GameCentre yesterday, and holed up in my room tonight to watch them play Pittsburgh. I don't really feel like re-capping.
I have to get used to this whole watching-it-by-myself-in-my-dorm thing... But I was still glad to see my boys. And the new ones (some of them.) Except, I psyched myself out worrying about Gaborik so much that now when he's on the ice, I get all nervous, lol... I mean, I always liked him, and thought he was a talented player when I'd watch him on Minnesota. And I still do like him, I'm just... Wary.
And I don't know what I'd do if Dubi didn't get resigned. I would have been so bummed watching the team play without him. He's really my favorite right now, and he deserved to have gotten his contract a lot sooner than he did... But he's still wearing red, white and blue.
... On an unrelated note, last night at around three, a girl somewhere down the hall or around the corner from me or somewhere woke up the whole floor having really loud sex. You could hear my neighbors coming out of their rooms and laughing...

... Kojo, I'll fight you for Donny. It's on.
LOL, after the movie, we went to meet up with Bhavna's friends who wanted to see Michael Cera at TIFF. And he was so awwwwww. ... Lol but first, Kevin Jonas came out. Aaaahahaha.
P.S. Bhavna and I did much fapping during the film.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I'm missing all the Jeter stuff!!
... But I haven't even been in my dorm most nights to watch it/listen to it online. Frosh Week is still going on, and there are a lot of events at night.
I am starting to feel a little guilty, though. And now I'm kinda thinking of getting MLB.tv. It's only 14.95/19.95 depending on the package. ... But there's 18 games left, and I know I won't be seeing all of them. And the package doesn't include post-season, should the Yankees make it. Hmmm... I'll probably listen to a few games online if I don't get the package, but it's not the same... I haven't quite decided yet... They DO play Boston again... But it's on a weekend... Argh...
Regardless, I'm super-proud of my captain ♥♥♥. This is someone I've cheered for unwaiveringly since I was nine (despite stories Erika tells me!!) I'm glad my friends and family back home are getting to watch the history every night.
(...I'm DEFINITELY getting NHL Center Ice online, though.Unless someone wants to tell me a good streaming site XD.)

Yay, we made it. But, The Last Time We Drove to Toronto > This Time We Drove to Toronto. Dad and I were supposed to leave at 6, but we ended up leaving at 6:30 because I ( tmi ) twice. I also ( tmi ) twice in New Jersey. (Nerves?) And I felt like crap, so it was hard to fall asleep, and I probably got like five hours between sleeping in the car and napping last night. Regardless, my dad and I got along pretty well for the first nine hours of the trip, until we both got tired of being in the car and got a little frustrated.
My mom had flown up, so we met her at the hotel, and she and my dad went to Parent Orientation (... how old am I again?). So I ordered room service, and talked to
bhavna_grint, and just relaxed until they came back, and my mom and I went swimming. And it felt SO GOOD. It was just what I needed, lol, especially the hot tub.
Uuuugh, sleep now.
